Lisocabtagene maraleucel, sold under the brand name Breyanzi, is a chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy used to treat certain B-cell lymphomas in adults. It is manufactured by taking a patient's own T-cells and genetically modifying them to target the CD19 protein found on the surface of malignant B-cells, then infusing the modified cells back into the patient. It is approved for adults with relapsed or refractory large B-cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma, mantle cell lymphoma, marginal zone lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia who have already received at least one prior line of systemic therapy and are ineligible for or have failed stem cell transplantation. The United States Food and Drug Administration approved it in February 2021, and the European Medicines Agency approved it in April 2022. It is developed and marketed by Juno Therapeutics, a subsidiary of Bristol-Myers Squibb.
