Diseases of the Musculoskeletal System and Connective Tissue

Lateral epicondylitis, commonly known as tennis elbow, is an injury to the origin of the extensor carpi radialis brevis tendon at its attachment on the lateral epicondyle of the elbow. It causes pain and tenderness over the outer part of the elbow, typically from repetitive gripping or wrist-extension motion.
