Burning feet syndrome, also known as Grierson-Gopalan syndrome, is a condition marked by severe burning and aching pain in the feet, heightened sensitivity to touch, and changes in blood vessel control that lead to excessive sweating in the feet. It can also affect the eyes, causing visual disturbances such as scotomas and amblyopia. The condition occurs more often in women and usually first appears between the ages of twenty and forty.
