Male infertility refers to a sexually mature male's inability to impregnate a fertile female. It can wholly or partially account for 40 percent of infertility among couples and affects approximately 7 percent of all men. Male infertility is commonly due to deficiencies in the semen, with semen quality serving as the main diagnostic measure of male reproductive capacity.
