Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that primarily affects the face, causing persistent redness, visible blood vessels, and, in some cases, small red bumps resembling acne. It tends to flare in cycles triggered by factors such as sun exposure, heat, spicy food, or alcohol, and in some people it can also affect the eyes. Its underlying cause is not fully understood, and it most often begins in adulthood.
