Ectropion

Diseases of the Eye and Adnexa

Ectropion is a medical condition in which the lower eyelid turns outward. It is one of the notable features of newborns with congenital harlequin-type ichthyosis, but ectropion can occur from any weakening of the tissue of the lower eyelid, and the condition can be repaired surgically.
