Majeed syndrome is an inherited disorder classified as an autoinflammatory bone disease, characterized by chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis, congenital dyserythropoietic anemia, and a neutrophilic skin disorder. It occurs in people carrying two defective copies of the LPIN2 gene, which encodes the protein lipin-2 involved in lipid metabolism, though how this mutation produces the syndrome's clinical features has not been fully worked out.
