Thomas Goode (1787 to 1858) was a Virginian medical doctor, born in Mecklenburg County and died in Bath County, Virginia. He purchased the Warm Springs resort in Virginia and helped establish European style hydrotherapies there, linking the practice of medicine to the spa culture of the early American republic. The atlas records his work as part of the history of water cures and does not endorse any treatment. This entry describes a historical figure and is not medical advice.
