Emmet Densmore (1837 to 1911) was an American businessman, physician and natural hygiene advocate who promoted an early version of the Paleolithic diet. His combination of commercial activity, medical training and dietary advocacy places him among the nineteenth-century voices that argued for returning to a more natural way of eating. The atlas records what he proposed as part of the history of diet and hygiene movements, not as guidance for any reader. This entry describes a historical figure and is not medical advice.
