Gaston Durville (1887 to 1971) was a French physician who, together with his brother André Durville, was one of the initiators of naturism in France during the interwar period. Naturism there was a health and lifestyle movement built around outdoor living, sunlight and open air, and the Wikipedia lead credits the two brothers with starting it. The Medicine Atlas keeps him as a record of a physician whose public influence came from founding a hygiene and lifestyle movement rather than from a clinical discovery. It is a record of what was held and practiced, not medical advice, and further detail is left for a later depth pass.
