Augusto César de Almeida de Vasconcelos Correia (1867 to 1951), known as Augusto de Vasconcelos, was a Portuguese surgeon, politician and diplomat who served as Prime Minister of Portugal. He graduated from the Lisbon Medico-Surgical School in 1891, taught there, and later became a professor in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon. A republican from his youth, he was foreign minister in the first constitutional government of the Portuguese First Republic in 1911 and then led a government as prime minister from November 1911 to June 1912, again holding the foreign affairs post. He served as Portuguese minister in Madrid and London during the First World War, led the Portuguese delegation at the 1919 Paris Peace Conference, and afterwards worked for the League of Nations, helping to settle the Chaco War between Bolivia and Paraguay in 1935. The source records him as President of the League of Nations from 1935 to 1937.
