Eric Frederick William Powell, born on 28 August 1899 and died on 8 December 1989, was a British herbalist, homeopath and naturopath. He was born in Cinderford, educated at Cinderford Grammar School, married Irene Sharp and lived in Harpenden. He wrote many books, some under the pseudonym Peter Rusholm, and is recorded as the first to define phytotherapy, in 1934. He sat on the editorial board of Homoeopathic World and lectured across the United Kingdom on correct breathing techniques, exercise and vegetarianism. A vegetarian himself, he argued that humans were designed by nature to be vegetarians. This entry records what he held and taught, and is not medical advice.
