Ulric Gaster Williams (1890 to 1971) was a New Zealand doctor and naturopath, born in Putiki, Wanganui, and educated at Wanganui Collegiate School. The record of his reception is divided: he was regarded by many as a crank and a fanatic, while his advocates describe him as an original thinker whose ideas on natural living were perhaps ahead of his time. The atlas keeps both judgments side by side because the dispute about his standing is part of what is known of him. This entry records what he held and how it was received and is not medical advice.
