Margaret Wyndham Gore, known as Margot Gore, was a British aviator and osteopath. Born in Worthing in 1913, she wanted a career in medicine but lacked the academic background, so she learned to fly and during the Second World War served in the Air Transport Auxiliary, rising to head the Hamble ferry pool and earning an MBE in the 1944 New Year Honours. After the war she studied physics, chemistry and biology to qualify for a course in osteopathy, and in 1954 she won the gold medal as the best student at the British School of Osteopathy. She went on to teach there and to sit on the school board. This entry rests on one encyclopedia article and records only what it states.
