Jock McKeen

Traditional and Historical Medicine Practitioners

John Herbert Ross McKeen, known as Jock McKeen, was born on 19 October 1946 and is a Canadian physician, acupuncturist, author and lecturer. He co-founded the Haven Institute on Gabriola Island, Canada, with Bennet Wong, and has written on East-West medicine, alternative medicine, holistic health, Asian studies and personal growth. His page gives his birthplace as Owen Sound, Ontario, lists his education as the University of Western Ontario and the College of Chinese Acupuncture in the United Kingdom, names the Human Potential Movement as his field of research and dates his working life from 1964 to the present. Readers should treat his writing on alternative and holistic health as the views of a practitioner, not as established medical consensus.
