Nawab Arastu Yar Jung (10 June 1858 to 25 March 1940) was a surgeon of Hyderabad in southern India. He became well known in the late period of Nizam rule, during the early twentieth century, as chief physician and adviser to the Nizam of the day, Mahbub Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VI. He is remembered chiefly for that royal medical service. His name is carried on today in a fellowship at the LV Prasad Eye Institute, and a short biography of him as royal physician to the Nizams, with a history of medical advances in Hyderabad during his lifetime, has been published by Naveed Hussain and others.
