Vaidya Bhagwan Dash (1934 to 2015) was an Indian author and scholar in the field of Ayurvedic and Tibetan medicine. Ayurveda is the traditional medical system of the Indian subcontinent, and the title Vaidya is the traditional term for its practitioner. The Wikipedia lead presents him mainly as a writer and scholar who worked across the Ayurvedic and Tibetan medical traditions. The Medicine Atlas keeps him as a record of twentieth century scholarship on those two systems. It is a record of what was held and practiced, not medical advice, and further detail is left for a later depth pass.
