Wilmer Ingalls Gordon (1860 to 1943) was an American osteopathic physician and a vegetarianism activist. Osteopathic medicine is a branch of medical practice founded in the United States in the late nineteenth century, and its practitioners are licensed physicians. The Wikipedia lead describes him as combining that professional identity with public advocacy for a vegetarian diet, a pairing common among health reformers of his generation. The Medicine Atlas keeps him as a record of that overlap between professional practice and dietary advocacy. It is a record of what was held and practiced, not medical advice, and further detail is left for a later depth pass.
