Seoul National University Hospital

Seoul National University Hospital is a teaching hospital in the Yeongeon-dong area of Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea, serving as the general and teaching hospital of Seoul National University's College of Medicine. It was founded in 1946 and now operates through six branches, including the main campus, a children's hospital, a cancer hospital, and Bundang, Boramae, and Gangnam facilities, with about one thousand five hundred and ninety one beds at the main branch and emergency departments at every branch except the Gangnam healthcare centre. Although closely tied to Seoul National University's College of Medicine for teaching purposes, the hospital operates as an independent entity through a special corporation structure, with South Korea's education ministry providing partial supervisory oversight, and it serves patients under the country's universal healthcare system.
