All Vaccine and Antibiotic Developers

Researchers who turned microbiology into protection and cure: Salk and Sabin with the polio vaccines, Behring with diphtheria antitoxin, Calmette with the BCG vaccine, Fleming with penicillin and Schatz with streptomycin. A person belongs here when the cited article describes the development of a vaccine, antitoxin or antibiotic. It excludes discoverers of pathogens and theorists of immunity. A researcher who discovered a pathogen but never made a vaccine or drug sits with the bacteriologists, and a theorist of immunity sits with the immunologists.
