Delusional Disorder

Delusional disorder is a mental health condition characterized by the presence of one or more delusions, fixed false beliefs resistant to contrary evidence, persisting for at least one month, in the absence of the other prominent psychotic symptoms and marked functional impairment typically seen in schizophrenia. Common subtypes include the persecutory type, in which the person believes they are being conspired against or harmed, the grandiose type, and the jealous type, and affected individuals often otherwise function relatively normally outside the specific area touched by the delusion.
