Hyper-CVAD is a chemotherapy regimen used to treat some forms of leukemia, high grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and lymphoblastic leukemia. It alternates two drug combinations over as many as eight cycles roughly three weeks apart: one course of fractionated cyclophosphamide, vincristine, doxorubicin, marketed as Adriamycin, and dexamethasone, alternating with a course of high dose methotrexate and cytarabine. Treatment is typically given in an inpatient hospital setting through a continuous venous access device.
