Deworming, also known as worming, drenching or dehelmintization, is the giving of an anthelmintic drug, a wormer, dewormer or drench, to a human or an animal to rid them of helminth parasites such as roundworm, flukes and tapeworm. In human and veterinary medicine alike the drug can be formulated and delivered in different ways depending on the population being treated.
