LILFU, standing for low intensity, low frequency ultrasound, is a technique devised by William J. Tyler's team at Arizona State University to manipulate neuronal circuits using transcranial pulsed ultrasound. It is being explored as a way to make invasive surgical neuromodulation unnecessary for some treatments and therapies.
