Surgeons and the physicians who cared for a patient through an operation, following ISCO-08 Minor Group 2212, Specialist Medical Practitioners, in its surgical and perioperative branch. Belongs here: a general, cardiac, cardiothoracic, neuro, orthopedic, pediatric or thoracic surgeon, a surgeon also noted as an anatomist or researcher, and an anesthesiologist, whose perioperative role supports the same operation a surgeon performs. Does not belong here: a physician whose SubLabel names a non-surgical specialty such as pathology or psychiatry, grouped under that specialty's own heading instead.
