All Systemic Hormonal Preparations

Drugs that replace or regulate a hormone acting throughout the body, excluding the sex hormones and insulin, following ATC Group H (Systemic Hormonal Preparations, Excluding Sex Hormones and Insulins). Belongs here: a thyroid replacement hormone and a systemic corticosteroid used for its broad hormonal and anti-inflammatory effect. Does not belong here: insulin, which ATC groups instead with the alimentary tract and metabolism agents because its role is glucose regulation rather than general hormone replacement, and a sex hormone, grouped under genito-urinary system and sex hormone agents.
