Martin Luther Holbrook (1831 to 1902) was an American physician and a vegetarianism activist who is associated with the natural hygiene and physical culture movements of the nineteenth century. Those movements argued that health could be kept through diet, exercise and a clean way of living rather than through drugs alone. The Wikipedia lead presents him as a medical doctor who also campaigned publicly for a vegetarian diet, and the Medicine Atlas keeps him as a record of how reform minded physicians of his era understood health. It is a record of what was held and practiced, not medical advice, and further detail is left for a later depth pass.
