Arno Wolle was a Danish naturopath and mathematician, born in Copenhagen on 24 February 1903 and died on 2 July 1988 in County Wicklow, Ireland. He worked as a mathematician at the Danish Department of Defense and later at the Ministry of Finance, but became best known for the herbal blends he developed, more than one hundred mixtures drawn from his study of medicinal plants and their uses, which were sold in Denmark through reform houses and drugstores. A Danish newspaper report on their supposed ability to cure many illnesses made him a known alternative practitioner, and at the height of his practice he reportedly saw thirty to forty patients a day. A Swedish journalist called him the Herb King of the North. His therapy was popular with patients in his lifetime but has not been scientifically recognized.
