Brain Tumor

Neoplasms

A brain tumor occurs when a group of cells within the brain grows out of control, forming a mass that can be either malignant or benign. Tumors are classed as primary, meaning they arise within the brain itself, or secondary, meaning they have spread there from cancer elsewhere in the body. Symptoms depend heavily on the tumor's size and location and can include headaches, seizures, and changes in vision, personality, or physical function as the growing mass presses on surrounding brain tissue.
