Veterinary chiropractors typically treat horses, racing greyhounds, and companion pets. The practice is controversial because there is little evidence for the effectiveness of chiropractic methods, and it is classified as alternative rather than conventional medicine, and even skilled manipulation carries some risk of injury to the animal.
