Wildlife rehabilitation is the process of caring for injured, sick, orphaned or displaced wild animals with the goal of releasing them back into their natural habitat. It involves medical treatment, temporary housing and specialized care across a range of species, from birds and mammals to reptiles and amphibians, combining veterinary science, wildlife conservation and animal welfare to give an animal its best chance of recovery.
