Dacryphilia, also known as dacrylagnia, is a form of paraphilia in which a person is sexually aroused by tears or sobbing. The term belongs to the vocabulary of atypical sexual interests, in which a specific stimulus, here the sight or sound of someone crying, carries the erotic charge. The Wikipedia lead gives only this short definition and its alternative name, so this entry deliberately goes no further than what that source supports; causes, prevalence and any clinical status are not stated there and are left for later research rather than guessed. This entry is a record of the term and is not medical advice.
