Neoplasms

An ependymoma is a tumor that arises from the ependyma, a tissue of the central nervous system. In pediatric cases it is usually found within the skull, most commonly on the floor of the fourth ventricle, while in adults it is more often spinal, and rarely an ependymoma can occur in the pelvic cavity.
