Frozen shoulder, medically known as adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder, is a condition marked by shoulder pain and stiffness with gradual onset over weeks to months. It is a common shoulder ailment, causing pain at rest and especially with movement, along with a decrease in passive range of motion, and the shoulder often does not hurt when touched.
