Oligodendroglioma

Neoplasms

Oligodendrogliomas are a type of glioma believed to originate from the oligodendrocytes of the brain or from a glial precursor cell. They occur mainly in adults but are also found in children, with an incidence of about 0.2 per 100,000 adults, and make up approximately 5 percent of all central nervous system tumors.
