PLAID syndrome

Diseases of the Blood and Immune Mechanism

PLAID syndrome is an inherited condition characterised by antibody deficiency and immune dysregulation, first described in 2012. The name is an acronym of PLCG2-associated antibody deficiency and immune dysregulation. It is characterised by cold-induced urticaria, autoimmunity, atopy and humoral immune deficiency, so a person can show both over-reactive and under-active immune features. This entry records what the source lead supports and is not medical advice; the inheritance pattern, the clinical course, frequency and treatment are left for later depth work. It is unrelated to the company Plaid Inc.
