Taenia crassiceps is a tapeworm species in the family Taeniidae whose adult form parasitizes the intestine of carnivores such as canids. It is closely related to Taenia solium, the pork tapeworm, and Taenia saginata, the beef tapeworm, and it is found most commonly across the Northern Hemisphere, particularly throughout Canada and the northern United States, where its larval stage can cause cysticercosis in an intermediate host.
