Enavogliflozin, also known by the development code DWP16001, is a selective inhibitor of the sodium-glucose cotransporters SLC5A2 and SGLT2. It was developed by GC Pharma and Daewoong Pharmaceutical to treat diabetes and obesity. According to its encyclopedia article it has been approved for clinical use in South Korea and Ecuador, and approval applications have been made in Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Colombia. A meta-analysis of four trials over six months of clinical use found it well tolerated and effective for managing type 2 diabetes.
