Somnoplasty is a type of sleep surgery that uses radiofrequency ablation devices to treat habitual snoring, chronic nasal obstruction and obstructive sleep apnea by shrinking the tissue causing the obstruction. It is typically performed as an outpatient procedure lasting thirty to forty five minutes.
