Lip Augmentation

Lip augmentation is a cosmetic procedure that changes the shape of the lips using fillers such as collagen or implants. It can be used to increase the size of the lips, correct asymmetry between them, create more protrusion, or adjust the balance between the upper and lower lip, and while the procedure is usually done by surgical injection, temporary non-surgical alternatives also exist. Swelling and bruising commonly follow the procedure, irritation or allergic reactions can occur, and possible unwanted cosmetic effects include scarring and lumping, while implants specifically carry a risk of shifting under the skin or breaking through it.
