Buddy aid is a term used in the United States military for first aid given to a wounded service member by a fellow soldier on the battlefield. It covers only basic measures, such as dressing wounds, stemming blood loss and splinting fractures, and possibly responding to nerve agent exposure; a comparable practice is also used by the Iranian military.
