Prostate steam treatment, known by the brand name Rezum and also called water vapor thermal therapy, is a minimally invasive surgical procedure for men with lower urinary tract symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate. It works by injecting steam into the prostate to remove the obstructive tissue from inside the organ without injuring the part of the urinary tube that runs through the prostate.
