Ureteroureterostomy is a surgical procedure in which the two cut ends of a transected ureter are rejoined directly to one another, an end to end connection also called an anastomosis. The operation is also known as ureteroureteral anastomosis and, after the surgeon Weller van Hook, as the van Hook operation.
