Omentopexy is a surgical procedure in which the greater omentum is sutured to a nearby organ. When it is sutured to the abdominal wall, the aim is to redirect circulation away from the portal circulation and into the caval circulation; it may also be sutured to another organ to increase that organ's arterial blood supply.
