Wrist arthroscopy is a minimally invasive technique used to examine and treat the inside of the wrist joint through small incisions, guided by a camera. First introduced in 1979, it became an accepted diagnostic tool by the mid-1980s and has since also been used therapeutically, allowing surgeons to both identify and treat problems within the wrist.
