Aquablation therapy, marketed as AquaBeam, is a surgical procedure for men with lower urinary tract symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia. Developed by PROCEPT BioRobotics, it combines real-time visualization through a cystoscope and biplane ultrasound with a high-velocity, heat-free saline waterjet and autonomous robotics to remove prostate tissue, and it requires general anesthesia rather than being minimally invasive.
