All Wound Care, Dressings and Bleeding Control

Procedures, materials and first aid actions that clean, protect and close wounds or stop bleeding, from removal of dead tissue and wound bed preparation to dressings, bandages, tourniquets and adhesives. A treatment belongs here when its own source describes it as a way of caring for a wound or controlling blood loss. It excludes operations on a named organ and tests used only for diagnosis. Each member is a surgical procedure entry that the atlas covers as a subject in its own right, placed here on what its cited article says it is and how it is used, never on its name alone.
