Nancy Lonsdorf is an American medical doctor and author who practises Maharishi Ayurveda, a modern organised form of the traditional Indian system of medicine. She received her medical training at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and went on to study Ayurveda in Europe and in India. She has written several books on Ayurveda. Her place in this atlas rests on her combination of conventional medical qualification with Ayurvedic practice and teaching through publication.
