Rudolf Hauschka

Rudolf Hauschka was an Austrian chemist, author, inventor and entrepreneur whose work was shaped by anthroposophical philosophy and the teachings of Rudolf Steiner. He founded the companies that became Wala Heilmittel GmbH and Dr. Hauschka, developing a distinctive rhythmic production process that preserved plant extracts without alcohol, a technique he used for more than thirty years as the basis for natural remedies and later for the Dr. Hauschka skincare line. His combination of chemical training and anthroposophical method made him an influential figure in the development of anthroposophic medicine's approach to plant-based preparations. He lived from 6 November 1891 until 28 December 1969.
