Oncologic Therapy

Lasers are used to treat cancer in several ways, with their high-intensity light applied to shrink or destroy tumors or precancerous growths. They are most useful for treating superficial cancers, such as basal-cell skin cancer, and the very early stages of some cancers, including cervical, penile, vaginal, vulvar, and non-small cell lung cancer.
